To anyone reading this, I know, this may be the 4th or 5th site you are looking at searching for the right person, which probably really means someone that will truly care about you AND have the skills to help you. As a counsellor, teacher, facilitator and someone that has been on the healing journey for well over a decade I can say I have pretty high standards on those regards, so I want to tell you you’ve stumbled into someone special here.
Since the first time I met Deanna I felt at ease. She felt human and real. Then, the more I have worked with her and got to know her the more I can vouch for her sincere and deep desire to help, as well as an extraordinary integrity that shows in her work ethic, her ethical standards and the continuous commitment to her own healing and growth as a practitioner. I have seen her throw herself courageously into harrowing healing processes to keep gaining wisdom and opening her heart more, that she may have more to give. This is not just a job, or even a career vocation for her, but a sacred calling. She pours her heart and soul into this work, and if I know anyone that is living their soul’s purpose AND doing it exceptionally well, it is Deanna.
She has shown herself capable and willing to meet me at the depths, to reflect and ask insightful questions with the instincts of a seasoned therapist, as well as maneuver tricky terrains with the guidance of her heart. When I have told her of deep pains, or ugly and shameful shadows I have been met with warmth and a knowing, gentle smile that understands, for she has felt her own pains and met her own shadows. Can’t really learn that in school, I assure you!
And she is a joy to be around with, like an old friend, or someone that just genuinely loves and cares for people.
“When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece”, is a quote I have heard that pretty much sums up what I think of Deanna and her work. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
